Met Tonya today!

Went by to see Tonya after my interview today. She is precious and simply delightful. I saved her from making a big mistake tho. Most of you know about my experience with pureed KFC, well she was gonig to do the same but with Popeyes!! I tild her that I had wanted to DIE when I did that and so she said she was glad for the warning! Again, I will continue to share my stupid mistakes as long as it helps others. I told her that her spot was polished up and waiting for her on the losers bench. She hopes to come to our meeting next month. She will post when she gets home!

Hi Paula, did Tonya have the lapband or RNY? What is she thinking about that type of food after just having surgery? I agree on what you said about pureed chicken. I never got sick from it, but I sure was cramped up for a few days. Give her my best and she's still on the prayer list. Kathy

I wanted to stop by yesterday so badly!! I'm glad you were able to stop by. I'm also glad to hear she is doing well and that you were able to stop her from making a very painful mistake. By the time I got away from work at 6pm, all I could think of was getting home. The past 2 weeks have been CRAZY!! I'm also looking forward to hearing some good news from your interview. I'm keeping you in my prayers.

like me she thought pureed chicken meant any pureed chicken. but let me tell ya, that chicken needs to be boiled or baked. Fried chicken pureed does not make it go down easier. It just about killed me. I threw up until I was just heaving for hours. Somehow many new posties miss important info like this. So for any one of you out there who is about to have surgery or have just had it. Please do not try to do fast food of any kind! The grease and texture is really harmful to your new pouch. In my personal opinion, stay away from fast food FOREVER! That is part of the reason we got to the weight we were. I will step off my soapbox now.
