surgery date set for june 4

Hi! my name is Tammy and i'm new to this. I have a surgery date and I'm scared to death. I'm hoping some of you who have had lap band surgery will respond and ease some of my fears. Thanks!!!

Welcome Tammy, I had the RNY, but I just wanted to say Hi and let you know that we are all here for you if you need us, soon you will be a "loser" just like us!!! Being nervous is very natural regardless of the type of surgery, so calm down and just turn those fears into excitement Shelia

Hi Tammy, This is Delora (2 weeks out) from the doctor's office waiting room yesterday. Good luck but I think you'll find it easier than you are dreading. I have lost 18.5 lbs since my pre-op appointment 4/6 and the BMI is coming down. I was so pleased! I can't go to the support group tonight because my son is receiving a writing award from Belmont and there is a ceremony this evening. I'll be in Orlando with my family on June 4th but I'll be thinking about you and look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the support group meetings. Delora
