Hi everyone, the other day Kym posted a question about the % of calcium in the foods we eat. I sent the post to the nut at CMC where I had my surgery. Here is the reply that she sent me. Calcium is one of the nutrients that is malabsorbed.. You can count calcium in your diet, however it needs to be in mg not percentages and in products it must be calcium citrate form. Also, if you are still losing weight it is best to get in your calcium from your supplements because calcium containing foods have carbohydrates. Please let me know if you need anything else. This is from Jill at Centennial. I hope this answers your question. As always, talk to the nut that your Dr uses to make sure you are doing what your surgeon requiresl Darlene
