A Big Thank You !!!!!
Good Evening Everyone,
I really just want to say THANKS! to everyone on this board. I have spent the last couple of months on the "lurking" side instead of the "posting" side of the forum. When I read the main board for RNY, it seems there are an awful lot people who are angry, non supportive, and just down right rude. There are also a lot of people who are just the opposite. But on the Tennessee site, I have never seen those rude statements. Everyone here is full of compassion, support for their fellow posters, and to be honest...they care!!!
People like Melinda, April, Kym, you always have something nice to say... even when you are having a bad day! And I don't start my day off without reading what Daniel Ryder has to say! I am sure I have left off several names, and I apologize about that. Just keep up the good work!
I guess what I am trying to say is this...I am in the process of getting my approval for WLS. My wife has been approved, and will have her surgery on June 4. I am extremely grateful to be a part of such a fine group, and I look forward to meeting all of you in the future.
I will be at my first support group meeting on Tuesday...maybe I'll see you there!

Yes welcome to the boards. I always love to check the boards to see who has posted, who has a new wow moment to share, etc etc... you will find some great assistance and support. You are welcome to join us at our next luncheon... Sat. May 19th at Cool Springs. We would love to meet you and your wife...
Wow, Scott...you sure know how to make someone feel good! I'm so happy that this group has been able to be a positive aspect in your journey. Congrats to you and your wife on making this step...I promise you that you will not regret this! There were a few days, okay, weeks, in the beginning that I did but it was due to having a really hard open RNY but once I got past that...man, best thing I have ever done!!!!! This will be the start of a new life for you guys.
I hope you and your wife will be able to come to our lunch on the 19th so we can meet you both...if not, then maybe you can come to the next one...your wife will probably not feel like it since she is having surgery June 4 but if she has lap then she might.
Welcome to the posting side of the board and the losers' side of the bench...we are all glad you're here!
Hey Scott, A big welcome to you and your wife. Best wishes for you both on your journey. This is a very welcoming and encouraging group of people. I've posted to other boards in the past (WW, Nutrisystem, etc) and they always seemed to be clique-ish; not here, everyone is welcomed and included.
Anyway, hope you have an uneventful approval process and again, Welcome. ~~Elena 
Just kidding of course. Congrats to your wife on geetting approved and best of luck to you on getting approved as well! Always great to meet new people. We hope to hear more from you in the future.

Welcome to finally coming out and becoming a "poster", soon I am sure that you will be a loser. I really think it is cool that both of you are going to be going through the same thing. I will say that you will both be wonderful support for each other and we are always here when you need to have that extra enouragement. Hope to meet both of you soon!!

to you and your wife. I agree with you sometimes I just get away from the main board because they are so snippy and everyone here is so wonderful. This is what support is suppose to feel like, you don't have to agree with everyone. Like moma always said, "if you can't say something nice, just shut your piehole" or something like that.
