Update on the Update

I just wanted to take a few moments to say, thanks for all the prayers, THEY WORKED!!! I am doing very well and the swelling in my legs is completly gone!!! I actually felt so well, today I went to the Renaissance Festival (I have several WOW moments, that happened today, to share when I have more time) with my son and when I got home, still no swelling!!! I have been super busy with school (first week back) and all the unexpected doctor visits, but I have been reading and keeping up with everyone!! I just wanted to say, I LOVE YOU ALL and you are all very special to me. I will try to post more within the next few days!!! Lots of and HUGZ to all my 's Shelia

Shelia, I 'm glad you finally made it back to post. We were all very worried about you. Did the doctor give you some medicine for the thiamine deficiency?

Thanks Melinda, I was told to take 100 mg of B-1, which is Thiamin, Dr. Spaw and the other doctors said the additional mg would not hurt me and could only help. I take the Bariatric Advantage Mulit and it only has 6 mgs. I am waiting on additonal more directed blood test results that will let me know exactly if it was Thiamin or the antibiotics!!! Hopefully, it is the antibiotics!! Shelia

So glad you are feeling so much better...sounds like you had a blast at the festival...I have always wanted to go but keep forgetting the time when it comes around...you are talking about the one in Triune, right? Well, so glad you are back and that you had some wow moments to balance out the cruddy ones this past week or so!

I am so glad to be feeling better as well!! Yes, the festival was the same one that is Triune, my Senior year Home Economics teacher is Mrs. Freedman, one of the owners. Ready for that WOW moment, I saw her for the first time in 20 years and and since I am now what I weighed in 8th and 9th grade, she recognized me from 20 feet away!!! I was so shocked when she said that I have not aged a bit and was smaller than she remembered me to be in high school. YEAH!!!!!! I explained that I had WLS surgery and she was shocked, she said I look better than anyone she has ever seen that has had that surgery, I just smiled and thought, she has not met all of you!!!! I have my 20 year reunion on Sept, 29 2007, I would like to be down to about 150 by then, I am now about 186, I guess I might just have to go to my first Class reunion since highschool and knock them dead!!! If I do, we will all be going shopping for the perfect outfit!!! Anyone ready for a shopping trip in September??????????? Shelia

Thank you, I had a wonderful time as well, not tired from walking or anything!!! I even road the swing with my son and Mother-in-Law and it was so cool, my son looked at me and said, "Mom, look at you, you fit and have room where the bar comes down". I smiled and he gave me a kiss, and said "Mom, I am proud of you!!". I told him I loved him and that I am so proud of his weightloss as well!!! Did that make you cry!! I just had to wipe the keyboard off after typing it again!! Shelia
