I just wanted some info about the Micellar milk and protein samples I received. Do you drink the milk by itself or use it to mix with the protein powders? I received my sample pack of protein packs from bariatriceating.com and the packets read that they are one serving or one scoop. It seems to be quite a bit of powder for one serving. Is that correct? Is the samples only one serving and what kind of scoop comes with the regular size containers? Inquiring minds would like to know!!!! Thanks, Elena

Oh, also forgot to ask about the New Whey bullets (the 42g protein). Didn't ya'll say that you only drink half? Do you mix it with something else or just drink half and drink something else separate? Trying to get everything in order before it's absolutely required!!! Thanks again, Elena

You can drink it solo. The reasoning for half is that your body can only absorb 24-28 grams of protein an hour. Darlene

I like to use the Micellar Milk in my coffee instead of creamer. You could use it as the liquid in a protein shake. (Remember, your body will only process about 30g of protein at a time though. Any protein ingested above what your body can process is wasted.) You could also drink it as is if you wanted to. The scoop that comes in the jugs of protein powder is about 1/4 - 1/3 of a cup. Keep in mind though, that is to make a 6 - 8 oz protein shake. When you are newly post-op, you are only going to be able to handle about a 2 oz shake. Start out just putting a little bit of the powder into a couple of ounces of fluid or soft food. You can spread that sample packet out over the course of the day. When you finish the packet, you know that you have ingested the amount of protein listed for the serving. It's going to take a little while, probably a couple of weeks, for you to comfortably get in all of your protein. Take your time and give your new little baby pouch time to heal. It's better to be a little short on protein in the beginning than to pu**** and wind up vomiting. As for the New Whey bullets - Sometimes I will sip half of one straight from the fridge. Other times I will pour it over a little ice and let the ice water it down some. I wouldn't mix it with any other powder. The great thing about the bullet is that you can get so much protein in just a few sips. You can certainly sip 1/2 of the bullet and then have the non-caloric beverage of your choice. Melinda found that she liked the contents of a 25g bullet mixed in the Magic Bullet with ice and a packet of Splenda. (kind of like a slushie) You could do the same with 1/2 of a 42g bullet by adding an equal part of water before blending with the ice and Splenda. Now...BREATH!!! You're going to do great!

I personally LOVE the MICEllar Milk! I use it in everything. I use it to make my morning(don't like breakfast) protein shake. I flavor it with SF syrups. Fruit. I use it to make frozen cubes, to add to frozen drinks like coffee and chai. Of course I am a Lap Band and I am completely different animal.

I use it as coffee creamer too and dh drinks it straight like milk. We just ordered the strawberry mice milk so I'm curious to try that.
