OT: Transfer to Nashville

Just wanted to drop a line and tell everyone in the Nashville area that I got the promotion that I applied for and my daughter and I will be moving to Nashville on June 15th! We are so excited. We found a beautiful apartment complex in Hermitage. Its only 5 miles from my new office. I am looking forward to moving in, setting up my apartment and getting to know all you ladies in Middle TN. Keep me updated on support group meetings after June 15th. I can't wait to meet everyone. Karen Lee

Karen, Congratulations on your new job... and new relocation site! I know I speak for all of us,... can't wait for you to join us at our gatherings... Let me know when you get here. I live about 30 mins away and would love to come meet you for coffee or something....

I will do that, thank you! I look forward to joining everyone as well. We have tried to have support group meetings here in Memphis, other than the ones my surgeon does, but we haven't been very successful. We never seem to be able to find a place to have the meeting and when we do people don't show up so I am definitely looking forward to joining your lunch group and protein parties.

Karen Lee good luck on your move and new job. What doctor did you have in Memphis? I will be having my sugery in Sept. with Dr Virginia Weaver at Saint Francis. I am tring to find out every thing I can about her and the hospital. Lee Lee

I dont really know the secret to our "support system"... I guess cause we all love each other's company and have a good time.... we are growing in numbers too... a few months ago we added a clothing exchange and boy do we have a good time with that! It's too bad that every area didn't have a group like ours. If you are having a problem, they are all there. And if someone else has a problem, you're able to be there to support them as well... give and take. It's a great group of friends. And, we welcome everyone... the more, the merrier!

We may just have to plan a little "Welcome to Nashville" for you when you get here. Congratulations on the promotion and I'm glad you were able to find an apartment so quickly. Like Melinda said, I don't know either what makes our group so successful. I guess it's just all of us having such similar life experiences and coming to care for each other.

Hi Karen, Congrats on your job and finding a nice apt! I've only met a couple of the ladies face to face, but everyone is so very supportive and I can't wait to meet them all in person. Hope your move is stress free! ~~Elena
