Here's a message that was posted on the CMC-WLS Yahoo Board today. I'm worried, I eat Carb Master Yogurt everyday. [email protected] wrote: New news guys...... I just called the Kroger 800 number and wanted to know if they offered to ship the yogurt to other states for personal purchase...they don't. Well come to find out they are going to discontinue the yogurt!!!!!! What are we gonna do guys????? Granted it is only temporary, but still. They are apparently looking for a new distributor for the product. What I want to know is...if I stock up on the yogurt do you think I can freeze it? Also I asked what other flavors the yogurt comes in & there is also a raspberry flavor, hmmm.... but there wasn't any mention about the blueberry flavor; which I have not seen in a very loooooong time, so that one may have been discontinued already. It would probably help if all of us were to go to Kroger's online customer comment site and complain (http://www.kroger.com/customercomments.htm). I'm planning on doing so today. By the way, the only flavors I've seen in Huntsville are Vanilla, Strawberry, Peach, and Rasberry. Larry 12/06/04 Olsen - 375+/185/200 www.letsboast.com What are we going to do? I sent a nice customer comment to the above address bar for Kroger, and asked a few questions. Hopefully I will get a response back. Robin K.

I just went to their website and filed a complaint. I told them how important this product is to the gastric bypass community, and we are growing each day! Its important as we need the protein, especially new post ops as they are unable to get it all in by food... so go to their website and let your voice be heard!

Well, for what it's worth, I put my 2 cents in. I love this stuff and would be lost without it.

I'm so glad you posted this. I just went to the kroger website and posted my opinion to them. I have been unable to find the blueberry at all so I was worried about this. When we were in another city recently, I couldn't get the carbmaster's at all and I just thought the demand there was higher...now I know why. Let's hope this grassroots campaign makes a difference!

OK I did send mail to Kroger... Here is the reply: Thank you for contacting The Kroger Co. We are pleased to let you know that Kroger Carb Master Yogurt is not being discontinued. However, you may experience a temporary out of stock issue, as production of this product is being move to another dairy. We ask for your patience during this transition and we promise to have Carb Master Yogurt back the shelf as soon as possible. Thanks again for writing. Please let us know if we may assist you further.

I got the same message. I am so relieved. I wonder just how many I can stock up on before they disappear and just how long it will take to get them back.

Just wanted to let you know that I got the same response. I also asked about freezing them and they said "Additionally, freezing it is not recommended as the freezing and thawing would adversely affect its smooth body and texture and freezing can affect the Live & Active Cultures. The freezing prevents any further culture growth and may injure some of the bacteria." Then someone on the main message board said to go to WalMart and try Blue Bunny's Sweet Freedom carb control yogurt. I looked this up on calorieking.com and it stated that the vanilla has 90 calories, 5 carbs and 9 protein. Hope this information helps others too. Robin K.
