Hi, I'm new to the loser bench. My surgery was Monday and other than soreness I'm feeling good. This is kinda of scary because I'm so afraid that this will not work for me either but I keep seeing all the great success stories on this site. I love this support system. Delora

Good moring Welcome aboard. I too am banded. 11/6/06. So that said..... WALK, WALK, WALK, sip, sip, sip, sip. AND stick strictly to the rules your doctor set for you. Walking will help with gas pains, they can be anywhere. From shoulder to hip. Drink it is very important during the first few day not to become dehydrated. Protein first. Congrads Congrads. The Lap band forum is a great place. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lapband/a,messageboard/board_id,5359/

Welcome, welcome, welcome! I'm glad to hear you are recovering well. Everyone is afraid they will be the one person the surgery will not work for. As long as you follow the instructions you are given by your surgeon and nutritionist, the weight will come off! I'm glad you've decided to become a part of our little group here. I hope you will be able to join us at our monthly luncheons too. The next one is scheduled for May 12th and will be a location to be determined in the Cool Springs area. We meet there so it is a little more equal distance for our folks from Gallatin to Lawrenceburg.
