Accountability Partner/Partners
A new week begins and I need accountability. I go for a fill on May 18th. I am lap band. I have restriction but not enough to keep me from eating bread and other things I shouldn't. I went on vacation last month and I ended up gaining a pound. Now I am back down that pound and need to get back to what works. Anyone interested in being my accountability partner? I'll be honest with you if you will be with me. Help me stay on track and I will do the same for you. I will check in with you in email several times a day and you with me. Just keep me straight. Anyone want to get back on track with me?
Life is a string of problems, held together by moments of pure bliss. Enjoy the moment it may be your BLISS!

Hi Linda. Accountability -what is that?
I am not accountable at all! I do not like to even think about it when I am not eating that great. It may help for me to be more accountable. I really want to make my goal of losing 17 more pounds by my one year surgiversay on 6/22. I am going to try and do better with food. Maybe, I can start an accountability post everyday on the board so we can admit/be accountable for what we ate the day before. For anyone who wants to do it. If everyone will be honest. It may help for us all to be accountable and we can get support from everyone. What do you/ and everyone else think about a daily accountablity post or is that to personal to put out there for everyone to read?
Misty

Hello Misty, I haven't had my surgery yet but I am on a diet so my surgery will go easier. If you will have me I would like to be able to talk honestly about what I eat and why. This morning I am mad at the old man and I grabbed a candy bar at wal mart and took it into the bathroom and ate it. I know I can't do that after surgery.

Hi Carolyn. I think it does help everyone (pre and post op) to be accountable for what they eat. I have never tried it before - I guess because I do not want to admit it to everyone when I do "cheat" but I think it will be good to see that other people may cheat too and to see what healthy things other people are eating so we can all get more ideas. I think I will start a post tommorrow to see if anyone wants to reply as to what they ate today. We can see if this is going to work or not.
Oh yeah - nope, no candy bar after surgery but you can always grab a protein bar - Yummmm
Misty

Misty I keep a journal on the comuter but I don't always put my cheats on it because I am afraid my hubby will see it and be dissapointed in me and he has been so good with helping me to get started and he walks with me every day on our 3 mile trek. That walk has really helped the pounds come off. I've lost 15.5 lbs since the first of March . Carolyn
Hey, I use to do this on my surgery month board... I think it is a great idea myself.
If anyone wants to participate, they should probably list what the food is, the amount, and calorie, carb, and protein counts. It would also be a good idea b/c that way we can get ideas for different foods to change up our diet. I know I tend to stick pretty much to my usual foods and it gets really boring.
Linda,
That's an ablsolutely splendid idea. I am on my 6 month diet and I keep a food planner for everyday and at the end of the day I add up all of my calories. Yes, I actually put everything I eat on it so I'll know where I fall when I do and what slows my weight loss down when I eat it. I even journalize eating cheesecake.
I've lost about 10 lbs in 2 weeks
. I will try to do better for the next 2 weeks weigh in. Motivation helps more than anything.
