Calories per day
I average 525 calories a day.. I wasn't able to exercise for some time due to my back but I havent started yet even though I am done with the chiropractor's office... I keep thinking and dreaming of bathing suits and swimming pools... I have been wanting to go back to the pool and I guess its on my conscience? lol But I do need to start back exercising...I think I need to drink more water... that might help my weight loss going more... I eat correctly so I think its lack of exercise and not enough fluid.
Also, Kroger has diet snapple cases for 6.99 and are normally 10.99... this might help... they have variety packs...
I'm a year out...so my situation may be very different than yours.
I try to stay less than 800 calories/day. I try to exercise at least 4 times a week for a little over an hour (35 on treadmill, 35 on elliptical). I haven't been able to for the past two weeks..but I'm working on it. Starting a new job really has screwed up my routine lol
Janie, you just had surgery not too long ago. Don't worry about what the scales are saying right now.... you'll have plenty of time later down the road to worry about that lol Follow your manual... you know the one Centennial gives to all their patients. Keep your calories between 400-600 calories, protein first (follow the list) do some form of exercise for at least 30 minutes 4-5 times a week. Get at least 64 oz. of water. I promise, the scales will move. I drove myself insanely batty (my husband finally hid the scale from me)...I don't want to see anyone else do the same. Enjoy the loss you've had so far girl! You're doing great.
Hi Janie. I think it is different for everyone - especially you since you are only a few weeks out from surgery. I am 10 months out from surgery. I usually stay between 700-1000 calories a day (yes - 1000 on bad days!). You can try using fitday.com to track your food/calorie intake to see what you are doing daily if you are worried about it. I would assume you are not getting in too much because you recently had surgery. I noticed you had some problems with malnutrition? If the scales are moving these past few days, it is probably that. Make sure you are taking all of your vitamins every day and getting in all of your fluid. This should help the scales move agian.

i am so BAD on exercising now... i was better when i was a new post op... i even let my membership to the y exspire just cause i never had the time to go anyway... grrr... lazy me!!! the best trick i know to make the scale move in get your water in!!! as for calories, i dont count them. but i can make estimations just because i know the calorie content of just about everything, from years of dieting...lol. i would say on a day when i am not hungery i get about 400.. and on a day when i am starving about 1000... my hunger isnt consistant. somedays i feel like i am forcing myself to eat and others i feel like snacking all day long. i weigh myself everyday though, and this keeps me in check ALOT!!! best of luck
