I am offical now.... I am a loser!!!

Well its been 1 wk and 4 days... and I am here to tell you, I would do it again in a heartbeat! I have so far lost 25 pds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My breathing is better.... I still have a bit of soreness here and there, but it is going away, and after my doctor visit yesterday - I am on my way!! I had to had a different procedure though, we thought because of the scar tissue and hernia repair that it would have to be an open procedure, but with the brilliant doctor I have... he just done it a bit different! Instead of doing my bypass up on top of my stomach, he went to the bottom.... because I have no spleen to get good blood flow from, he didnt want to take any chance! I did have a drain for a few days, but that got took out before I came home, thankfully! Everyone has just been soooooooo awesome.... thanks to all of your thoughts and your prayers,phone calls, and etc.!!!! You will never know what a blessing you are to me! Thanks for saving me a seat on the losers bench! I hope to scoot and make room for a few of my friends! You are all blessings beyond words... may the Lord continue to bless you with success in your journey, and may you have the strength to face each new day with courage and encouragement! Much love! There you are sweetie! I have been wondering how you were doing but didn't know how to contact you except through the board. Twenty-five pounds in less than 2 weeks?! You are doing very well indeed!

Yeah... sorry, but I haven't been much on the puter since I've been home... today is the first real day. Thank you again Susan for coming to see me at the hospital.. you will never know what it meant to see you there in that doorway! You are such an inspiration, and loving, caring person, and a mentor to us all! God bless you for all you do! (I am eating actual food today for the first time!!! whooo hooo going well...so far) keeping it light -eggs, cheese, and tuna/ love ya bunches!

Hi Sonya, I am so proud for you. Wow, 25 lbs. I have been wanting to check on you. Did you get my e-mail? My surgeons nurse/caseworker is suppose to call my insurance today or Monday & see what exactly I need to get this rolling. The IQ test has been dropped as a requirement. I am so ready & tired of the not knowing. I pray you can save room for me on that bench. Hugs Ellen

Why, welcome back big loser! 25 lbs is awesome! We were all concerned and so glad to hear that you did great! Everytime someone comes back from surgery and posts on the board, gee... I tell you that it hits me in the gut... I dont know why I get so emotional... I am excited for all the new experiences you will have! Welcome back.
