I also printed out the sample letter from here, that a person can send to their insurance company and a copy of the Public Law for the American with Disabilities Act, and sent it to the person who deals with the insurance through where I work.
If anyone should comprehend the ADA, it is them, as they are a company that has a day program and group homes and apartments for Adult people with challenges.
I was really scared to approach them, as my working through them to care for my daughter has been **so-so** and I have been worried about rocking the boat so to say. I didn't feel I had the right to approach them regarding anything, for fear of being fired. But now that I have sent it all off, I feel ok about it. Yes a little nervous, but if they do try to fire me for this, then I will fight them. Because as far as doing my **job** and all the paperwork and yearly training required by the state, I do all of that.
I just hope that perhaps when they read the information I sent them,( I also put a link for this web site) they might think about taking WLS of the excluded list, on our insurance.*crosses fingers**
