This is one surgery that I am nervous about. Because of my being anemic, and have very thinned blood. I won't have a naval when they are done. There is so much that needs to be done before Tomorrow. I will be boarding over tomorrow night at the VA lodging floor so that I will be there when they are ready for me between 6-6:30am. Surgery is around 8:30 and it's three hours long, then recovery. It will depend on several things before I can go home. I must be able to pee, walk, minimum pain, yeah right, eat and drink before I can leave. Please keep this in your prayers. With my love and thanks for your continuing support, Kathy

Thank you, Juanita, I appreciate the prayers. By the way, you are looking great. I will try and post on Saturday, I know I won't be able to do much on Friday evening. I have to have my daughter-n-love help me get up every two hours to walk to the bathroom and so I won't get a blood clot. I am trusting God to deal with all this and the other issues that are going on in my life. Again thank you, love ya

Hi Misty, so glad to see you back on our board. I have thought about you so often wondering how you were doing. Thank you for the prayers. I appreciate them. I'm not worried about the surgery, that's in God's hands. He knows the problems I have going on and He will take care of me. You're looking great. Love Kathy

You may get upset with me for saying this but I've got to say it. I am concerned that they are moving forward with this surgery with the health issues you are currently experiencing, i.e. - the dizziness, chemo, not getting enough protein, and now the anemia and thin blood. This surgery is not life saving like the WLS and you are still losing weight. The plastic surgeons I have heard speak have all agreed that we need to be at a stable weight for 6 months before plastics. I know you want to get rid of the loose skin. I'm just concerned about you having some major complications with this surgery. Please know that I care about you and just want you to be healthy and right now you are not healthy enough for this major surgery. This is a much more invasive surgery than your bypass was. Your body will need protein to heal and you told me that your protein intake has never been adequate. If you decide to follow through with this surgery Friday, I will pray for a safe procedure. But, right now, I have to tell you that I am praying that you will decide to wait until you can get some of your health issues cleared up. Susan

Kathy, I have the same concerns as Susan, because your life is very important to us, however I will also pray that God protects you and keeps you safe during surgery and throughout your recovery. Shelia
