ON Q system pain relieve anyone hear of this
My surgeon had me on it after my surgery, I think he only did it because he had to do my surgery open rather than lap. My revision was done lap and I didn't have it so I believe it is used on open only but i'm not sure. I think it was in for maybe 2 days and then he pulled it out. I was on alot of pain medicine so I can't really tell you if it worked or it was just the fact that I was heavily drugged.
I've heard from people who had this following tummy tuck or lower body lift that it works very well. Basically, it keeps the surgical site numb for 4 - 6 days depending on how much of the pain meds the surgeon puts in the port.
The plastic surgeon I have spoken with uses it for TT & LBL. He does these surgeries as out patient and sends you home with on-Q. He said he wants his patients up & walking and knows he has to control their pain so they will walk.
Who is the surgon that you spoke to. I will be needing one. A couple of years ago my best friend had a tt and the dr didnt use that and she was in so much pain and her scare looks horrible and her belly button looks like a butt hole not trying to bee mean. her scare is think and now she has gained weight and she doesnt like that i am having wls so her loss because friends I am having it.
what was the dr name?

The plastic surgeon I have talked with won't do surgery on you until you have been at a steady goal weight for 6 months. He wants to make sure you are most likely to be at the weight you will stay at and not lose more and wind up with more loose skin.
However, I have seen pictures of his before and after work and It looks great! Sure there are scars, but the loose, flabby skin is gone.
I've seen before and after pics from other plastic surgeons that I didn't think looked all that great. If I'm going to be cut that much I want to be able to really see a difference!
