Hey all... well I am on some med and feel a little better today. I am up for termination at work but somehow I feel maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Was hopping someone could reccomend a church... I live in Antioch and like a more contemporary praise and worship but also somewhere that it isn't a fashion show and people are understanding. Also, looking for work now. I have been in the process of trying a home based business but now have to do something with it but need a job as well. I can forward a resume to anyone who may have a contact somewhere or if you know of an opening. I am just truly grateful to be here today. The last week I could not think I was so unhappy and now I think it was a wake up call to not take health for granted and I was putting myself in a situation that was not healthy of course with the reward of possibly haviing this surgery but if it is meant to be it will be. I will keep pursuing it but I am ready to be somewhere I can be happy too. I think today I may actually make it out to the pond! Yay!

Hi Melissa. I am happy to hear that you are feeling a little better today. I do not live in the Antioch area so I can not help with churches there. As far as your job, just know that something else is better around the corner. You didn't need the stress of worrying about it day to day. What type of work do you do or have you done? I know my freind recently got on at Vanderbilt as a Patient Representative (I believe that is what it is called) but basically it is a person who sits behind the desk at one of the Drs offices inside the hospital and checks people in and out and makes appointments. It pays decent and you only have to have customer service experience. She has been really happy with it and likes meeting the patients every day. If you would like something like that, I can forward your resume to her or you can go online to Vanderbilts website and apply. They always have those openings because they have so many Drs offices. I will email it to you and I would like to come to the party... where is it and can i bring my niece she is 16? If not that is fine too! She is having a friend over later anyways. I have been applying all over the internet today including Tmobile. I have not been officially fired yet but they will when I get back there. Honestly I am only worried about finacial loss but otherwise I am over the job itself. I talked the the lawyer who has my work comp case and we are gonna move forward to settle the case. That is good for me and may really help me. Ok all, talk to you later and someone shoot me the info on the party I will try to come. Depends what tomorrow looks like when it gets here.

Sorry to hear about the job situation. But, it sounds like you are feeling a little bit better than you have been. Maybe you needed to get rid of the stress of that job. I know there is something just right for you out there. Misty's idea sounds like a great possibility. And, Vanderbilt has good insurance!

Melissa I work at Asurion and it so happens we are having a job Fair here tomm and it may be close to your home! Located at 650 Grassmere Park right off of trousdale close to Grassmere Zoo. Again Job fair here tom. Glad to hear you are feeling better!

Ha ha ha... I applied to them online yesterday and work at Grassmere Verizon. I will go tomorrow. I wonder if you could tell me what they start out at and how are their benefits? Do they promote from inside is there bonuses or incentives?

Melissa, Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I use computer at wprk and am off on weekends. I believe start for Csr is around 10.00 maybe more. Benefits are great. They offer BCBS of new york. You get two weeks PTO to start off your medical benefits start the following month from your hire date. example if you start April 23 your benefits would start May 1st. The have the option of 100% or 90% coverage. Yes they have tremendous opportunties to move up form within. Incentives are available also based on your performance. I had 90% COV BUT SWITCHED TO 1005 WHEN TRYING TO GET APPROVED FOR SURGERY. I truely believe this is part of the reason I got approved so easily. I wish you all the best.

Hey Juanita, I was not able to go on Saturday and did put an app in online so maybe they will call. I am not officially terminated so wanted to wait to see what happens. I would have normaly worked on Saturday but since I did not go in did not want to take the chance they would think I was quiting because I went for an interview and with them being the same industry and same business park was not sure if word traveled amongst the hr people there. I am hoping to know something today. I will keep everyone updated. I still wanna try there, Vanderbilt and the state. I have had a few good leads.
