I may be moving to the Savannah or Olive Hill area After my surgery next month does anyone know anything about the area. Such as are there any support groups out there or any outlets for someone to attend to meet people. I do have a piece of property there that I use for recreational purposes and I have had it 5 years but can honestly say I have never explored any further than the property boundry other than the little store up the road for gas. Just breeze in and breeze out I was perfectly content with what I had waiting at home so there was no need, want, or interest to go anywhere else. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated and I do apologize for the intrusion.

Is that in West Tennessee? I know there are support groups in the Memphis area. Perhaps someone from that section of the state will be on soon to give some help. Welcome to the TN board. We love to see our gentlemen post, they just don't seem to want to hang out with us ladies for long. Fancy that! They all seem to prefer the men's forum. Hmph!

Hi & welcome Danial, There is a new support group in Jackson. They meet every 4th Tuesday. I think that is somewhere close to you. Maybe 40 min. or so. Again, I may be wrong. Some of us drive further than that to attend it. Ellen

I live right outside of Savannah and the closest support group I believe is in the Jackson TN area which is about a 60 mile drive. The information I have is that it meets the 4th Tuesday of everyone month and Darlene Hughes is the contact who does post when a meeting is coming up. Thanks!!!

I am in that area fairly often, but like you, for recreational purposes. We go camping and swimming at Pickwick all summer long but other than getting out to go to the store or a little shopping, we pretty much stay at the camp. Sorry I can't be more help but I just wanted to say welcome to the board.

Thanks Ladies, I appreciate all the responses and look forward to maybe seeing some of you at one of the support group meetings. At this point it looks as if I will be moving there as a single person so after being with the same person all this time I just don't know if I will be getting out much. I will be purchasing a home near Olive Hill, Tn I have been with the Real Estate Broker most of the day since posting here this morning. I have just finished my dinner at the Golden Dragon Chinese Buffet both myself and the manager agrees that he lost money on me. So I am sitting outside in my truck on the wireless laptop typing this response and wondering why I let her affect me like this. I will breeze in and out from time to time and let everyone know when the move takes place. Now I must go and get my mandatory 4 hours so I can drive the 700 miles home in the morning and I wish each and everyone of you the best. Totally Committed, Dan Ryder.

I have no idea where you are talking about as I live all the was at the top of the state in Clarksville.......I just wanted to say welcome aboard and it would be nice to have a mans perspective around here every once in awhile. Not that these women are not the most wonderful support system around. So welcome, good luck on your surgery and keep us posted. Nicole
