Psychotherapist Evaluation

I visited with my psychotherapist the other day and he felt as if I didn't know enough about the surgery. So, he scheduled me another appointment with my surgery doctor. To me he was a total waist of my time. He spent 20-30 minutes on the phone with my insurance company to see if he was going to get paid, before we started talking. He was very rude and arrogant. Made me feel intimated, like I was being talk down to. Has anyone experience anything similar?

Hi Rhonda, I had 2 quacky ones but not over the money. My insurance pd. some but I had to pay the most. Neither even asked me what I knew about the surgery. I think they are all out for the money. My first one didn't even do what the insurance asked for. Wasted 2 months of my time & money. I am still waiting on the second. I don't have any health problems. I am 150 over weight & a 48 bmi. My insurance states with that you don't need the health problems but, they are being real butts. good luck, Ellen

I would find another doctor. Ask your surgeon for someone's name... or post your area and maybe someone here can refer a good one...
