I got my final consult Thursday!

I got a call today that my final consult with Dr. Spaw is this Thusday! I was not expecting this. Can anyone tell me what to expect next? I'm so excited. I thought it was going to be sometimes in May. I need to know what to expect next, so if anyone can give me some input, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Relax honey, he's easy to talk to. In my consult, he asked why I had decided on the RNY and we talked a lot about what I already knew about the surgery and what to expect afterwards. We also talked about my reasons for wanting the surgery and my medical & diet history. He wants to make sure you understand the post-op requirements and that you have realistic expectations about the surgery. I know you'll feel better after talking with him.

No.....you don't understand, this is my FINAL Consult! I've already talked with him once about all that stuff. I want to know what happens at the final consult? Mai was saying that I may be having the surgery before May. I was not expecting to have surgery until mid-May.

Oh, I misunderstood. We just talked about any new questions I might have come up with. If you need a date in mid-May, tell him. You are not locked in to the date they give you if you need a later date.

I could do it tomorrow if they would let me. I know that the final Dr consult means it's getting close to surgery. A few people I talked to said they didn't have but one Dr consult. I was just wondering after the final consult, how far I was to having surgery. It seems like no body knows. I guess I'll just have to wait until Thursday.
