Praise God!! Sonya Denton's surgery is over!!! She got a Lap!! Woo Hoo!!

Ok guys.......I have an official update on Sonya!!!! She definitely has angels.......She did better than they expected.......... they did not have to open her up, they have done it laproscopically!!!! They have moved her out of recovery to a nice room. She is in room 3200 at Centennial Women's Hospital. 615-342-2600. Still in and out but knows that she got a better surgery option!! She will be up and walking within 3 hrs.................... Karen

WOO HOOO! Good for her. I know I am new, but seeing sucess in all aspects eases my nerves quite a bit. Prior to your surgery's, if you have had them yet, did you have difficulty in sleeping due to the weight? They are sending me to a sleep apnea clinic as well as treating anxiety... Hope my experience is as good as Sonyas...Way to go Sonya!

Sherri, So many people have the sleep apnea due to weight problems.............. The good thing is that with the weight loss, most people gfet rid of a bunch of problems......... The apnea is chief among them. They tell me that I have it, but feel that I will not after I get this weight off............. so I am holding out for that day!! Welcome to the site.............. anything you need to know, there is ALWAYS someone who will answer you............. You are in the best place you coud possibly be!! Possibly they can give you something to help you sleep............. Ambien I thought was a marvelous tool when I had trouble sleeping! Blessings, Karen

Karen thanks so much for updating us on her surgery. It means a lot when we all know that someone had surgery and we are able to get a good report... otherwise we would worry and fret that something might have occurred... relieves our minds. Thanks, and I cant wait to hear from her. I know she has to be so excited.

Melinda, I just got off the phone with Tracey, her husband. He sounded thrilled that it's over and she did so awesome. The surgery didn't require nearly as long as they were anticipating (they thought 8 hrs).............. and she has been up and walked. I didn't keep him, just asked hime to tell her that I had updated the OH site that her surgery was over, it was a lap, and all was well!! I told him that when she was able, she could check out all the messages so far posted in response, and that I loved her!! She really is a super lady, I got to take her to lunch a week ago and meet her for the first time. She is an Angel, herself!! We are planning on seeing each other, again, while she is off recuperating. Tracey said she was doing very good.................. anything new I hear I will post for you all God Bless, Karen
