OT: Possible transfer to Nashville
Hello everyone,
This post has nothing to do with WLS however I am in need of some advice. There is a possibility that I will be transferred with my job to Nashville in June. What I would like to know is what a good part of town or outer areas are to move. I would be looking for a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment that allows small dogs to rent. The office is in the airport area off of McGavock Pike. Schools are not an issue as my daughter will be a freshman at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville in the fall.
Can someone please give me some advice.
Thanks,
Karen
Good Morning Karen and Happy Easter,
The area near where you will be working has some nice apartments and the ones close to the airport are nice. I would suggest looking at newer apartments, ones with fire walls etc due to the possibility of fire. (We just had a huge 5 alarm fire here Friday that consumed an entire complex that was built in the 70's) When you know for sure if you are coming PM me and I will get you a more detailed list of good apartments. Are you looking for "adult" only or just a good place to call home?
Have a wonderful ands Blessed Easter.
Beth
Hi Beth!
Thanks for the heads up. I heard about the fire on the news but came into it after they had already given the details so I wasn't sure exactly what happened, only that it was in Nashville and it was huge. As for apartments, they do not have to be adult only as a matter of fact I would prefer family oriented complexes. I will let you know when I find out something. I know that I will have to move before the end of June because my lease is up at the end of the month. I have already given my 60 day move out notice because either way I am moving whether it be to Nashville or to another complex here in the Memphis area. I have lived in the same complex for 5 years in order to keep my daughter in the schools she was in but now that she is graduating I will not be stuck in a certain school zone. The apartments I live in our highly overpriced so I welcome the change.
Thanks,
Karen
Can't help you any with the apartment issue. I just want to welcome you to our board.
If you do move to Nashville, I hope you will want to become involved with our live support group activities too. There is always room for one more at our monthly get togethers and we look for excuses to get together between the luncheons too.
You will probably love it here. i do, but i've been here since college...Auburn! anyway, I live in the Brentwood/Franklin area, which is really nice. It is kind of expensive, but Williamson co is one of the most desireable communities. Since your daughter is going to be at Austin Peay and your job at the airport, you could also consider the Hendersonville area. I like Green Hills, too.
REaltracs.com is a good web site. Area 10 is Williamson co. area 2 is greenhills.
My favorite realtor is Nancy Ross with Realty Executives.. her # is 615-377-8064, she'd probably be happy to send you info at no obligation.
welcome,
jill
Well, whether you move to Nashville or not, you need to post more often. You have done a great job with your weight loss and we need your input.
If you wanted to look at apartments in the Madison/Hendersonville area, There is a complex very near to me that is reasonable. Hubby and I lived there for 2 years before we bought our house. Graycroft/Graybrook Apartments are easily accessible to I65 and Briley Pkwy and not too far from the airport area of McGavock. Clarksville is only about 45 minutes to an hour from Madison.
We are also conveniently located near great shopping. Actually, I sometimes feel like Rivergate is too close!
