Hit the half way mark

Hi, I am Barbara Fikes-Maki, I am pleased to say at 10 wks post op I have lost 50 lbs and am half way to my goal. Having this surgery was the smartest thing I ever did and would do it again tomorrow. I feel so much more healthy, it is very empowering. I will try to get pictures soon.

Hi Barbara! So glad you've decided to join us. You'll find that this is a wonderful group of people - I can't say ladies anymore since we now have men who have become active. You could not find a more supportive group anywhere. Feel free to jump in wherever and whenever you want. Congrats on the weight loss. You are doing great!! I look forward to putting a face to the poster. We all love to watch each other shrink!!

Welcome Barbara, I will be 10 weeks post op on Monday, however at 9 weeks I hit my 50 lbs mark and it put me 52 lbs from my goal. Therefore, I know just exactly how excited you are. I have experienced so many new things in the last few weeks that I never knew would ever be possible in my life. I had a terrible time with nausea, however I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
