I'm home!
I am soo happy to be home! I was released about 1pm today. I'm feeling pretty good except for the occasional gas pain. I ened up staying a few extra days because I was/am passing blood. Dr. Rutledge feels that it's old blood, leftover from surgery. They watched me all day yesterday my hemogloben level were high and stayed high.
I'm trying to sip on liquids, but I must be trying to sip too much too fast. I end up with some discomfort, but I'm working on it.
Well, I'm going to go take a nap.
Kristen,
I am so glad that you are home as well and doing very well. I had trouble sipping on liquids also and it was suggested that I try a sippy cup for a while, I know it sounds strange, however it keeps the air out of your stomach. My surgeon does not allow us to use a straw for this same reason, I do not know if your surgeon restricts you from the use of straws as well or not, but you may not want to use a straw either.
Hang in their "Loser"

Glad to hear things went well.
We saved you a seat on the loser's bench. Even with all of these new members the bench never gets too full, cause all of our behinds are shrinking and making more room!
It will take a few days to get the hang of sipping without overdoing it. Take lots of naps and do a lot of walking to walk off that gas.
