Okay, I have to tell you guys about this.
This weekend, my neice, her husband, her half brother, my daughter, my husband, and me all piled into our little mini van, with just one row seat!!!, and went down to Sheffield to take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. On the way down, we stopped at Lane Bryant and Avenue to use some really good coupons. My neice had brought me some Lee capris in 16 and they fit but they were stretchy so I figured they were just really like an 18. I got three pair of capris at LB and they were all 16's!!!! Now, they were a little snug mind you, but considering that three months ago I was in a 28, I am pretty excited! I decided to go for the 16's instead of 18's so I can get more wear out of t hem. We went to Avenue and I got a pair of stretch capris and they were a 14!!!! I knew I wore a smaller size in Avenue but a 14!!!!
Then we took the kids to a McDonald's in Florence to let them play. They had one of those tube things that looks like a giant hamster maze from Petco and the kids were having a blast...my nephew starts goading me into getting into the maze with them. I kept saying, "No, let me just lose 20 more pounds!" Finally, I did it and I ended up having a blast! I went through that silly maze 3 times!!!! They snapped my pic several times so I have posted two of them to my profile.
It was a really fun night!
Kym not sure if I told you about this one... went downtown near our doctors office to "Ladies of Charity". They are a seasonal thrift store and the ladies of Bellevue donate their very expensive clothes... so I was looiking for an Easter dress... I found one I loved... red, big bold blue flowers, yellow, white.... it was sleeveless with a cute scarf around the neck. I tried it on and I kept thinking, boy the shoulders in this is sort of snug. Even if I lost several pounds, I dont think I could get this to fit nicely by Easter.... I put it on the rack as I exited the dressing room... I took more clothes in, tried them on, came out, snatched up that little dress again and tried it on for a 2nd time.... I kept looking in the mirror wondering should I or shouldn't I? Well I found it in the size 10's, 8s section... the rest fit fine but the shoulders Like I said were a little snug... which is unusual since I have small breasts. I looked inside, not on the back where it normally is, but down on the side fo the dress, it was a SMALL. There I could not believe my eyes. YES it was a SMALL. Now like you said, mind you it didnt fit like it should have, but months ago I would only consider putting a small on my left hip!!!
Hi Kym!
I am laughing so hard picturing MYSELF trying to get into one of those McD's playlands. I am in a size 14 and still make my husband go in with my 7 year old niece. I know I probably could go but still have the "overweight" mentaility about myself. I am so happy to hear that you tried this and had so much fun. I bet it was fun. You are giving me the strength to try it myself! If I can stop laughing at picturing myself getting stuck and having small kids crying while the fire department is cutting their playland with the jaws of life to get me out.
Misty
