Does Comcast cover the DS?
I have a friend who just started a job at Comcast and she was wondering if anyone has had the DS while working for Comcast and which plan they had. She is working at the Nashville call center but is interested in hearing from anyone who has had it while working for Comcast. Her options are Blue Cross and Aetna. We think the Blue Cross plan is probably a better option but just wanted to hear from others. She needs to make her decision by the end of April.
She has limited email and internet access so she has asked me to post this for her. I will give her all the replies.

She needs to check with the Human Resources dept at Comcast to see what the current policy will cover. Each Blue Cross plan is different depending on what the company chooses. This is also true with most other employer healthcare plans so would more than likely apply to Aetna too.
Her HR dept should be able to answer her questions about WLS coverage. And, she shouldn't have anything to worry about in asking. By law, the HR dept is not allowed to share anything she discusses with them.
Hi Maria. The packet of information she received in order to chose a plan should have the benefits and exclusions listed for each plan. She needs to look at each plans exclusions to see if WLS is excluded from either plan. If she was not given a packet of information that shows this (which she should have received) she needs to ask for one from HR so she can review it. I hope at least one of the plans cover it for her.
