Ok I am stressing here! I can not seem to bring myself to eat until lunch. I know I should be eating breakfast but I have never been a big breakfast eater, and now with never being hungry I really don't want to eat in the morning, someone please give me some suggestions for what I can grab and munch on in the a.m., because I am not cooking anything after getting four kids ready for school my husbands lunch plus myself ready for work. I am 7 weeks post op and on regular foods do you thinkI should try a couple bites of cereal? Help! You guys are so knowledgable, thanks in advance! Nicole

Nicole, What about one of the protein shakes, this way you get some of your protein, it's quick, simple and easy to drink on the go. You can do some that you make up or purchase some that are alreay prepared. This is just a suggestion, I am still on pureed foods until Monday, so I will be interested in the suggestions here as well!!! Good Luck, Shelia

My mornings are kind of hectic also and I hate to rush when I'm eating. I have a protein shake every morning. This lets me start my day with the protein my body needs to rev the old metabolism but it's something I can drink/eat on the run. I prefer to mix my own but I keep RTD in the fridge for those mornings when I just don't have time. I really like the AchievOne and EAS Carb Control in the Ready To Drink. If you are able to join us for our next protein party on April 14th, you can get some great ideas for mixing your own shakes as well as some other options.

Hi Nicole. I definantley understand the need for a quick breakfast. I treasure my sleep too much to get up any earlier for breakfast . Plus, I can't eat when I first wake up so I normally take something to work and eat it after I have been up for an hour. I have been eating the Kashi Cereal. It is really healthy and has a a lot of protein in it. Not the most tasty thing but I like it and it is quick. Of course, I recently started eating it. I am not sure that you could tolerate ceral right now. It might be to heavy on your stomach. Have you ever tried to scramble an egg (in the microwave). That is quick. Or oatmeal (or cream of wheat). That is pretty quick too. All of that can be done within a minute. Or Yogurt. That you can take on the go with you. Well, I hope you find something you like that works for you. But definantley start eating breakfast! Misty

I still have a hard time eating breakfast first thing in the morning... I get full so much quicker ( I wish that lasted throughout the day!! lol) I can have a few bites of scrambled egg and be done. So, since I've found the AchievOne drinks... I get my breakfast from that and 20 grams of protein! I'm good until lunch when for some reason I can eat a lot more lol Check out some protein samples from www.bariatriceating.com, www.bariatricadvantage.com, or www.wlssupplies.com. Also you can join us on April 14th for the "protein party." Contact Melinda for more info

Nicole, I am the exact same way...I hate breakfast and would not eat until lunch if I could get away with it. I usually grab and AchievOne or I eat 3/4 cup of lowfat cottage cheese. I actually love cottage cheese! That's pretty much my standard breakfast.

I sometimes eat a packet of regular instant oatmeal with vanilla very berry protein delite protein powder in it. I love it! Its my favorite breakfast. Then again, its my only breakfast... food that is. Otherwise, I drink a shake each morning. I have the cheaper version of the bullet from Fred's at work... and I keep the base of it in our break room where the toasters, microwaves and refrigerator is... no one else can use it because (a) they dont know what it is, (b) I have all the cups!!! But anyway, I can now have my favorite shakes at work... OR you could do a protein bar. I don't like doing this unless I find a low carb, low calorie bar... and that taste good... what else is good... a warm cup of chocolate... matrix chocolate that is... with a bit of unsweetened whip cream and nutmeg on top... 23 proteins! Or, you could try a half scoop nectar cappuccino and half chocolate matrix... its so creamy and good... or achieve one... its great too... good luck
