Hello, my name is Teri. I am a 38 year old female in NAshville Tn. I have had a VBG in 2003 by Dr Bill Anderson. Everything went well. I lost about 55lbs in about 9 months. At that time I went back in for a revision to have a DS. (surgeon.Dr Husted.) this was 2004 nine months later after my first surgery. He went in and had to abort the proceedure due to a nick in a large vein. I lost 400cc of blood. I was closed up and given no hope of another attempt to have a successful weight loss surgery. S, now I am seeking help to attempt another revision. I have spoken to Dr's Kelly Write and RIchards at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Both I have heard are very good surgeons. I want to know if you know of anything shady about eother of them, or if you know of anyone that YOU feel would be better suited. I couldnt even get some bariatric surgeons to even talk with me about it since they knew of trouble before. All say it is a very risky surgery for me. I just want to be healthy. Dr. Spaw at Baptist is the only surgeon in the Nashville area performing the DS. Since the only part of the DS you are lacking is the intestional bypass, he might be willing to consider you for surgery. Dr. Husted is currently practicing in San Francisco. You might check out his website for info on how to contact his office to discuss a revision. He might be willing to try again. You would have to travel to SF for surgery though.

I haven't heard of any of your docs... I'm sorry! Wish I had some good news for you on them... Keep us informed. I hope you are able to find a surgeon who can help you and that you will be successful and healthy.
