I dont think it should effect wl. Drastic wl usually causes gall bladder problems and sometimes causes stones. I was back to work a week after my gb surgery, 10 years before wls. I had lost about 80#s on nutra system.. Good luck with your surgery.

Thank you Darlene for your support and quick response. I am so glad to hear this will not effect weight loss. Although my losing has slowed down I surely don't want to quit losing weight altogether.

I pray everything goes smoothly with your GB surgery. You should feel a lot better once they yank that thing. I had mine removed 14 years ago and the surgery and recovery was not bad at all. You gotta love those lap procedures! Where are you having it done?

Thanks for your prayers Susan. Iam having it done at North Crest in Springfield. I am hoping I will have the same good results you had and feel better once this is done. I appreciate your support.

Hi Juanita. I am sorry to hear a bout the gallbladder removal. I had to have mine taken out at the end of Nov. I waited WAYYYY to long to find out about my gallbladder problems so luckily they found yours early enough. I ended up having some major complications but it was not realted to the WL surgery. It was personal complications. Anyway, I did not have any problems continuing to lose weight after that. It should be fine. If anything, when you recover you will feel much better and will be able to do more. I wish you a healthy and fast recovery. Misty

Thank you Misty for sharing your experience. I am hoping everything goes well. They seem not to be to worried and that is a relief with giving me the impression everything should go well. Thanks for your support!

Nah... I had mine removed on December 1st - 7 months out from surgery, it won't affect your weightloss at all. At this point, most people's loss starts to slow down anyways. The gallbladder surgery was a lot more painful than the gastric bypass though...at least for me. It wasn't something I expected at all!! I hope you have a complication free surgery and speedy recovery! April
