Almost NAKED!

I thought the word "Naked" would get your attention.......LOL. I am in desperate need of clothing and was wondering if anyone lived maybe an hour or so away and had some in my size they would sell I would come and buy them from them. I'm trying to find some used clothing because clothes in my size are so expensive with my husband being laid off and all and if I am about to have the surgery (finger's crossed) then I don't want to be stuck with a lot of expense in clothing that I can no longer wear. Here are my sizes: Pullovers 4x (some big 3x's or smaller 5x's will work) Button up shirts 4-5x pants/skirts/dresses 4x-5x I bet I am the fattest person on the boards and no one has any in my size but if you don't have any, do you know where I might buy some used clothing in my size. All the 2nd hand stores around here don't go that high in their sizes. Does nashville have any that would have bigger sizes? I only have a few short sleeve shirts and when they are dirty I have to wear my long sleeve shirts or just go naked.......yikes!!

I like it when people have to ask for clothes! It means that the surgery IS a success! I love it, I love it... and no you are not the fattest person on the boards! You are too funny. I bet you there will be someone this week say that they have some clothes for you... Where is Goodspring at? Did I read thats where you live? I dont know where thats at. OK does anyone from last week's clothing exchange have any clothes for Melissa?

Melissa, I just gave a lot of clothes away but, have you checked the exchange board here? I looked just the other day and there was several things in your sizes on there. I will look in my closet and see if I still have any other clothes that I did not pull out prior to my surgery that I missed the first time around and get back with you. But how close are you to Nashville? Shelia

Have you tried looking on ebay?? I get a lot of my stuff from there... I just won a skirt for ten cents. Though you still have to pay shipping...you can still find great deals!

Melissa, I brought a bunch of clothes last week to the lunch but noone took anything but a jacket. I gave them to my mother but she may not need all of them. Most of the items were 26/28 and a few 30's. I will have more soon. I am not familar with Goodsprings...where is that?

Melissa, Last week at the Centennial Center there was tons of all size cloths and I do mean tons of all sizes. Hope that helps, O yea they are free. Sue W

Thanks for the great replies. It's been a while since I looked on ebay, so maybe they have got more stuff on there....I'll be checking that out tonight....great tip! I live about 1 hour south of Nashville. Goodspring is on the outskirts of Pulaski. Goodspring is not a town, but more like a bump on the side of the road. It consists of a post office and a convenience store. It's about 20 minutes east of Lawrenceburg where Kym lives. So Kym we are not too far apart. I'll have to check into that Centennial clothing thing they have. I would feel weird about them being free though. I don't want a handout, I just want something that will fit my big ole' belly and not cost true retail. I did check on the exchange board and there was a lady that had some clothes in my size. I sent her a message but she hasn't responded yet so she may have already given them away. I hope not because she had a lot of capris from Roamans which would be great for spring/summer. My gosh, I didn't realize we were so close! We will definitely have to get together, clothes or not! I am sure I will have at least a few things for you...do you need dresses by any chance? I believe I have several dresses in 30/32. My best friend works at Richland Trace market...she used to work at Catfish Junction, the one that burnt last year...how far are you from there? I am over in Pulaski all the time as my two best buds in the world live there.

Melissa Cox, I have some night clothes that are in 3x's and I have nice dress shirts that range from like satin button ups at 26-24 . Plus I think I have jeans that are like 26 that are still like new. I think I have several shirts ranging from that are currently new from 3x in some many different colors and regular older shirts at different sizes too. Let me know about bras. I have new ones never been wore at 44 DD. with and without wire. I just need to know the sizes you are in need of. I am currently in a 20/18 . So just ask I have plenty. I even have jackets in 26 to keep a person warm. ANd sweaters too. You will be getting cold after surgery because of the weight loss. If anyone is in need of several bathing suits for the summer let me know. I bought three last year and only wore like one. They are in 2x and 3x too. Nice colors all my clothes and light and darks too. Satins and silks and cottons too. Very nice. for all who wants them. They just have to let me know and if they want to pick them up too. I live in the knoxville Tennessee area. ANd might be willing to travel half way to meet and give over.. Please help I have two closets filled with clothes that need to go. Two big over sized dressers and a extra-large storage tubbie too. I have clothing baskets full with clothes and chairs piled with them. And I have shelves stacked with clothing too. I have flashy with gold and silver and I have played down clothing for those in need. Plus I have one dress suit of a skirt and jacket and a pant suit too. Nice work dress shirts too. Something for all tastes in this world. I am even throwing away underwear that has not even been wore once, because I have skipped those sizes. Please if anyone needs something let me know. Bless your heart, you are trying to help and are being so giving. Unfortunately I am in mostly 4x's. In pullovers that are kinda stretchy (t-shirts) I can wear a 3x if they are from Roamans or Lane Bryant etc... I can no longer wear hardly anything from walmart in tops anymore. If you have any of those that would help me out. I can only wear stretchy pants in 3x-4x. If you have any of those it would help. I really appreciate you responding. If you have anything in my size that would be great. I will be more than happy to pay for anything to cover my big ole' belly if you have anything that will cover it. I hope you find a good home for all the clothes. I'm sure if you keep asking around you will find someone who truly needs them. If not then I would take them all to a shelter or goodwill to donate them or see what you could get for them from a second hand store. Thanks so much for trying to help me.
