I finally broke down and bought a Magic Bullet and oh my gawwwssshhh...it is the bomb! This thing is wonderful...all the stuff they show on the infomercial is right! I made a red pepper coulis tonight in less than two minutes...ten seconds in the bullet and bam...I have sauce. And protein shakes...wow...makes them into fluffy desserts! They are wonderful! Thanks to the Protein Queen...Paula...demonstrating with hers at the protein party...I got to see firsthand how great they are. If you are on the fence about it...you gotta get one of these!

I noticed at Fred's today they had a cheapo version of the magic bullet for 19.99 It looked like pretty good quality. Just thought someone might like to know.

Just an FYI here on the knock-off. Hubby had bought me a cheaper version just before my surgery (He didn't know about the Bullet. He just saw this blender thing with mugs and thought it would be helpful. He's such a sweetie. ) Anyway, I killed that sucker within 3 months. It just couldn't handle the daily use of a post-op and it never was good at handling the ice in protein shakes. When it broke I replaced it with a Bullet and have used it at least once each day for almost a year now. Linens & Things and Bed, Bath & Beyond both accept each other's discount coupons. If you get one of the 20% coupons that are in the newspaper on a regular basis, you can save almost $12 on the Magic Bullet at either of these stores. Any way you go, I think it's money well spent.
