Will my incision ever stop hurting??

I had open RNY on December 11 last year...my incision is still hurting!!!! Not deep down but right on the surface...it's been three months! Will it ever stop...anyone out there have this experience?

My stomach looks like swiss cheese...from rny and gallbladder surgeries. 2 incisions from my gallbladder surgery still bother me...but not constantly. It actually took a little over a month for my belly button incision to heal... that one was from the gallbladder surgery. From the research I've done, the pain, though not severe, just aggravating, is due to healing/developing scar tissue...sometimes they feel numb too. But if you're having issues, call the doc I'm sure he'll be able to reassure you.

My daughter had kidney surgery that required a large, open incision kind of like yours - her incision was 9 inches long and horizontal on her side. She had discomfort from it for 6 months.

My incisions didn't "hurt" all the time, but for a few months it was sensitive...
