Hi Tina, My mother & grown son are both being changed to americhoice. I went to their web site but it doesent tell much....I belive that they will be sending out the new handbooks soon so maybe it will tell in there. I sure hope it will cover WLS as I know how badly you are wanting it. later, Susan O'

So glad to hear that they will be covering WLS. If I remember right you were going to Centennial? Have you checked with them to see if they are going to be in network W/AmeriChoice. I wish you the best. I am still about 7 weeks till I finish my 6 mos Dr. suppervised diet. Hoping to have my WLS in May. Later, Susan O'

well right now I have to see what hospital I will be able to use. I will have to deal with whatever hospital my insurance will cover. However I really don't want to go to vanderbuilt. If it as possible I would like to stay away from there. for personal reasons.

I have never heard of Americhoice. I have heard of AmeriSuites... but that's a totally different industry all together... I hope you are able to stay with the hospital of your choice. Its a bummer when you feel strong armed into doing what the insurance wants... but then again... GUESS WHAT? YOU ARE HAVING GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY! YOU GO GIRL! Congratulations!

This is great news! I hope they will cover the hospital/surgeon of your choice. Since both Baptist and Centennial are also Centers of Excellence you have a good chance of getting what you want. Keep us posted.
