Anyone want to buy AchieveOne Cappuccino? Protein problems!
I bought a case of the AchieveOne Cappuccino flavored and I do not like it. I have a whole case minus one. Anyone interested in buying it from me? I wish I could find a protien supplement that I like and can stick with. I think I have tried every kind of powder, liquid and bar there is to try and do not like and can not tolerate any of them. I am thinking about trying the 3 oz Whey protien from bariatriceating.com that has 42 grams in 3 ounces. It is just so expensive to keep buying up all of these and never using any of them. Plus, since I am now 8 months out from surgery and my hair loss is slowing down, I am not sure how important it is to get in the full protein requirements. I have made it this long without getting it in. It is just frustrating because I want to get it in but just can't.

I will buy it! I LOVE the Cappuccino AO!
Where can we meet up? Or, are you planning on coming to lunch on Saturday? We will be meeting at Logan's in Cool Springs at 1pm.
I live in Madison and work in the Murfreesboro Road/Fesslers Lane area and would be willing to meet up with you Thursday or Friday evening if Saturday would not work for you.

I want to address too the continued importance of getting in the required protein. This will be a requirement for the rest of our lives.
Kym has a friend who underwent GBP about a year ago and had only been taking in about 20 grams of protein per day. She now has heart damage due to her body attacking her muscles for protein. She is not quite 30 years old and doctors are estimating now that she will not live to see 40. Protein is very important!
The 42g protein vials are pretty intense. If you can tolerate a couple of swallows though, that would be a way to get your protein. I usually split one into 2 servings since everything I've heard or read says that we only absorb about 30 grams of protein at a sitting. You might find the 25g vials a bit more palatable. The Vitamin Shoppe near Rivergate carries both the 25g and the 42g bullets.
I work at Trevecca...not sure how convenient that would be for you to come to. I can meet you at Rivergate if that would work better for you.

Thanks for the prices, Susan.
Melinda, I am going to try to be there on Saturday, but I am having a really difficult time with the nausea (I just got off the phone with Dr. Spaw and he is really concerned) and I do not know at this point. If you will bring them, that would be great if I am able to make it, then maybe that will be my meal since I am still in the 8 weeks of puree foods at this point. (Let me know how much you paid for them so I can reimburse you for them).
Thanks a bunch
!!
Shelia
