I found pure lanolin oil at Wild Oats...$7.99 for 4 oz. Anyway, I mixed up my lotion tonight and put some in a small pump bottle. I love the way it has made my skin feel already. I also found the Garam Masala called for in some of the recipes in Susan Maria's book.

Hey guys...you can get Garam Masala at Krogers for $3.99 a jar...just wanted to let you know. Susan, did you happen to notice if Fage was back in stock in 0% or in Total Lite?

I didn't look at the Fage so I can't help you there. I paid $3.99 for the Garam Masala at Wild Oats too. Alyssa, Garam Masala is a spice blend used in Indian cooking but it is not a curry. I personally don't like curry.

I have heard of the Fage yogurt. Is it good? What are the nutritional values? I might need to stop at Wild Oats on the way home Saturday... I also heard of a jewelry store at Cool Springs that sells bead necklaces really cheap. Anybody heard of it? I wouldn't mind going there too... Last time I was running late and didn't know where I was going... then I had to stop by my friend's house on the way home. Didn't get to do any shopping at all... and there I was right in the midst of all those places!! I like the lotion. Can you believe I am out? I have to pick up some Ponds cold cream. I somewhat have dry skin, esp. in the winter, so that olive oil really helps... it makes it a little oily at first, but doesn't take long at all to soak in. I don't use it on my arms and legs. I use Dove Intensive Firming Lotion. Now whether it works or not, I love the lotion. I have Curel in the door of my car and it makes your skin so silky too without feeling guilty. Before surgery, I hated absolutely hated any type of body lotion. I seem to love it now. I am hoping that if I keep my skin soaked that maybe it will stay in good shape.

Susan How did you like the mixing process? I had a mess everywhere... finally just poured it all into a plastic container, stirred and still had an oey goey mess. I don't look forward to this next round. Maybe it will be better.... now that I've done once. OK something so stupid... why did I think I was gonna get all that into the same Ponds cold cream jar that I bought? Duh.. Hello... equal parts of the Ponds x3... adds up to a whole lot more than one jar. duh duh duh. Maybe that was some of the problem too.

I mixed mine in a 1 quart canning jar with a tight lid. I had thought I would be able to shake it up I wound up stirring it in the jar. I did pour some into one of those little travel bottles with a pump and have the rest stored in the jar. I think it's less messy to apply with the pump. Mine is pretty thin because of the lanolin oil so I can't imagine dipping it out of a jar with my fingers.

Susan Bring your lotion Saturday and I will bring mine. The triple lanolin was in the first batch, which I liked. Now I am going to try the pure lanolin which from what I can tell is like a waxy consistency. I hope it turns out ok... but with the thin lanolin and the pure olive oil, I bet it is a runny mess! I know what you mean about shaking it up in the jar, that would have been a great idea.
