Donut gut
OK I need an honest answer. Just when will this gut go away? Does it ever really go away, or am I destined to have it sagging down to my knees after I've lost all the weight I need to lose, then forced to get a tummy tuck, abdominoplasty or whatever its called?
Is there any exercises that you have done to get rid of your tummy? It looks just as big and grotesque on my frame now as it did on my larger frame back before surgery!
I certainly know how you feel...my stomach looks like a deflated balloon. It jiggles worse than before lol I haven't tried any particular exercises though...in fact, I haven't done much exercise in the form of weight training. I've always been focused on cardio. I'm thinking about getting a personal trainer in April though. It will be my one year surgiversary treat to myself
also, you might want to talk to Jaime the exercisologist person at Centennial.

My tummy is weird looking too, I have to like tuck it into my jeans... lol, it's not a pretty sight. I never really did sit ups or anything, I do pliaties and that totally works the stomach area... idk, I am pretty much just planning on surgery. I am only 19 pounds from goal and it kinda makes me sad cause I know this stuff isn't just going to just go away!!
OK...sorry to be a party pooper but according to the hours upon hours of research I have done, nothing gets rid of the skin but surgery. BUT...on the plus side, most plastic surgeons recommend waiting at least two years past when you reach your goal weight because skin often continues to retract so to speak and may be considerably better at 2 years than now. So if you can stand the wait...it may be to the point that surgery is not as needed.
If the skin is large enough and hangs enough, there is a certain exact measurement that I don't have, then insurance will pay the removal. Or, if there is another medical reason it's necessary such as rashes, sores, etc. and sometimes, though rarely, if it is causing back pain. It's hard to tell what ins. will cover!
