:help:
my name is Robin Fleming. I am 34 years old, and I had surgery Jan. 25, 2005. I was 265 at the time of surgery. I got down to 158. How wonderful I felt. But now I am back to 180! I realized that I did not know how to diet before surgery and I still do not know. I am so scared. If there is anybody out there that can help me, please contact me!!
Robin, call Dr Wright at Vanderbilt (yoursurgeon) right away and tell them and also you need some nutritonal counceling right away .. do they have NUTS at Vanderbilt?? you did not go thru all this to throw it away and you need to get back to the eating pattern and better choices ((( HUG))) you can do it... after all you already have!! there are nutritonal counceling services at Centennial and support groups they are all free at Centennial....and I am sure they must have some sort of programs at Vanderbilt also ,but you can use Centennial if you need to,they will get you right back on track! they have programs at noon & evenings and also weekends to fit most eveyone's time frame, wish I did not live so far, I would love to go I have heard they are terrific and really help... good luck
Robin you have taken the first step. You recognize you have a problem. Now....... you ONLY have 20 something to get back to where you were. That is amazing to start with that you have stopped yourself early. As in the other post call you dr or nut. Get yourself to a support group of some kind. Stay in touch here. Daily be accountable to us and we will be to you. All is not lost.

I'm not sure exactly where Eagleville is. I know you are south of Nashville. Are you near Franklin?
I know there is a support group that meets at the Franklin Library on the first Monday evening of the month. The group is led by a bariatric nurse who had the surgery herself over 5 years ago.
If you would be interested in this group I can put you in touch with them.
Like others have said, you need to get involved with an active support group. You have done the hardest part, you have admitted to yourself that you have a problem. Now you need to get involved with people who can help you with a solution.
You are also welcome to join our support group at Baptist. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30 in the Metabolic Surgery Center located in Plaza I across from Baptist Hospital.
Good luck!
