My insurance says they cover the lapband procedure and that they will only need a letter from my pcp claiming medical necessity. Is this good?

Make sure you have their letter of approval PRIOR to your surgery. Get their policy in writing. This will cover you later. Don't just take a verbal over the phone. Yes if its true, this is great. Good luck
