need some help
I am in the process of going through all the pre-op stuff to get ready to send to the insurance company for surgery. But the doctor said I needed to lose 50 pounds if i wanted to have the DS surgery laproscopic or if not go for the DS only in two stages which i don't think my insurance covers. Anyway, i lost 25 pounds but it just seems lately it feels hopeless. It seems like an impossible goal. at times I feel like "Yeah i can do it." but mostly I'm pretty much depressed and screw up my diet. I guess i need motivation on what it's like after surgery and how the surgery helped you. What can I do to get going again. I know I really need this surgery. I'm sick of being nobody. please help!
Myranda, the only thing I can suggest is that you go to the before and after photo section of obesity help... or start looking at people's profiles at where they started and where they are now...
I remember I used to sign on to OH everyday, sometimes 3, 4 & 5 times, when I was discouraged. I would look at the before/afters and it really helped. I made up my mind, "One day that WILL be me." I hope you find what you need to encourage you and keep yourself going toward the goal.
It sure feels great to be on the loser's side. Hang in there! Your day is coming very soon.
Pictures are definitely a great motivator. I often times look at my own before picture.... I NEVER EVER EVER want to look like that again. I look and feel completely different. My pics are on my profile by the way
You're halfway there Myranda! You can do this. The sooner you get what you need done, the sooner you'll be able to morph into a SOMEBODY... and DON'T ever think you are a nobody!!
