Clarksville Folks?

Hello. I am moving to Clarksville in April and am interested in local support. Are any of you all from Clarksville, TN? (or in the area).. I'm Heather, 31, mom to Mahaley age 2 and happily married. Oct 3 -2005 was my surgery date ( LAP RNY) Current Weight - 134 ! Post breast reduction and tummy tuck...( the tummy tuck was 2 days ago...) :> so i'm in a lil' pain.

I don't live in Clarksville so I'm not familar with any of there support groups. I know people do have bariatric surgery in that area. I live in Springfield which is halfway between Clarksville and Nashville. Clarksville is a nice area...it has a university, a mall, target, pier 1, 3 or 4 walmarts, every restaurant you can think of, etc. I sometimes do shopping in that area. Anyways, welcome to TN. hello Heather, Since you are in germany now and headed for clarksville I asume that either you or your husband are going to be stationed at Fort campbell. I lived in Clarksville on and off from 87-94 obviously i had not had the surgey then so I don't know about bariatric support. I can tell you about the town and surrounding area Every year it seems to grow and offer more amenities. It's about 45 min. from Nashville where Vanderbilt hospital is located and I know that they have bariatric support as well as Blanchfield Army hospital on Ft. campbell. Hi, I am Clarksville. Actually we are on Fort Campbell but I consider it Clarksville. There are support groups here in Clarksville. We have seminars and support group meetings . I'm not sure if the hospital here on post has any. I am going to an off ost Doctor to have this surgery and he is the one whohas the support group meetings. I have been to a few so if you have any questions feel free to ask me. I am at the beginning of all of this. Hopefully I will have the surgery mid May after Hubby gets back from Ft. Gordon GA.

hey there! Thanks everyone. Yes, we're being stationed in Ft. Campbell. We're house hunting now and going to buy a home and live off posts. Brenda, glad to see you also live in Clarksville. I'm really excited about the move. :>
