Nervous Wreck
Hi everyone! This is my first posting and I'm a little nervous. My surgery is less than a week away and I can't focus on anything., I'm finding it hard to work!!!! I have migraine headaches and I have had one for several days now. I'm not sure if it is due to the stress of thinking about this surgery or not. Has anyone experienced this? I have read how wonderful you all are to support each other and I really need that right now. Any advice?
Welcome to the board Catherine. It's normal to be nervous this close to surgery. It's exciting to think of the changes that are about to take place but it's scary too.
You have a good surgeon and now you have a board full of folks who will care for you, care about you and kick your booty when you need it. 
I'm sorry to hear about the migraine. I suffered with them for years. I do know that stress can bring them on. Also, are you on a pre-op liquid diet? The sudden drop in carbs and caffeine in your diet can also trigger a migraine. Make sure you are getting in plenty of water too.
Hope you get to feeling better before your surgery. If not, the drugs they give you during and after surgery should help a lot.

Yes,welcome! What I think of when you said migraine is your diet. Are you on your liquid diet yet? Do you think this might have given a headache?
It is scary when the clock ticks away the final days and hours before surgery... I hope you will come back to the board after and keep us updated on things... do you have an angel yet? I never had an angel but my roommate who had surgery 2 months before I did actually posted on the board of how my surgery went....but an angel will keep us updated. I dont know what else an angel does to be honest but lots of people have liked them.
Hi Catherine and welcome to the board. It is normal to ******vous wreck...most of the docs would worry if you weren't! About headaches, I had a horrible one for the entire time I was on the liquid diet pre-surgery...but the good thing is that you don't wake up with one usually.
