10 days post op
I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It took longer than expected to post but I ran into complications in the hospital (pneumonia, even though I was up walking 1 hour out of recovery, plus a blood transfusion, fever with diahrea, oh it was a mess). But I am home and feeling so much better. My mom came and helped for the week and I don't know what I am going to do with her gone now! A plus is that I am down 23 lbs in 10 days. I super excited about that. The only thing is that I get a feeling of lightheadedness and the shakes in the morning when I wake up or through out the day. Is this normal? It seems as if I take my vitamins and iron when I feel like that it goes away. Any ideas?

Nicole,
I don't have an answer to your question, but I too am 7 days post op. And I just wanted to say that I also had a rough time in the hospital. Not as rough as you. But I was in there for 5 days before they let me go, and I almost didn't get to go then. But Why I replied is in the mornings when I get up I get the shakes and get sick to my stomach also. I get really weak. My family says it's just because I've been through major surgery. But I too was wondering if this has anything to do with the surgery. I will be looking forward to everyone's reply. I guess I just wanted to say your not alone. Hang in there, you'll be in my prayers.

Nicole ,
Sorry to hear you had a hard time in the Hospital but so glad you are feeling better. Losing 23 lbs in 10 days is awesome!! Lightheadedness is normal especially so early out. Make sure you are drinking as much water as you can and taking all your supplements. These are very important! I should practice what I preach because a lot of times I forget my Vitamins and boy can I tell when I do. Just don't feel as good as when I do take them. Keep up the great work and take care of yourself!!
