Below 200 lbs.
It's been 2 1/2 months since my surgery. I went and saw Dr. Olsen today. I've lost a total of 44 lbs., 38% of my body weight (I think that's how he said it.) and he said I'm right on target. I was a little frustrated because I've only lost 10 lbs. in the last month, but I have to remember that in the normal world (without surgery), I'm doing great, and Dr. Olsen said that everyone has plateaus. I'm excited though because now I'm below 200 lbs. My next goal is 175 lbs., but I don't know when to set it for yet. Still have to think on that one.
I'm so happy for you! I can't wait to see Onederland! I'm not sure how to set goals either...I have my ultimate goal but I don't know how I'm supposed to set intermediate ones. Right now my primary goal is to bust through this stall I'm on. I didn't expect to stall at two months but I know everyone is different.
Thank you Kym!!!! I think my ultimate goal is 128, maybe 135 just depends on how I feel physically at the weight loss. I'm plateaued too so don't be too discouraged, I'm only at 2 1/2 months. He doesn't call it a stall because they say that you have to be at no weight loss nor any inches lost to call it a stall. I don't know what the difference is, I was too embarrassed to ask.

Congratulations Robin!!
I can't wait to get to onderland myself... only 7lbs to go. I've had A LOT of goals throughout this process LOL. Set small ones. My first goal was to weigh less than 300, the next was 280, 250, now it is onderland 199 by March 8th (my 1 yr. w/my surgeon, but it will actually be 11 months out of surgery)... then my ultimate goal is to lose 175 before the end of the 18 month period the surgery helps you lose weight. So far so good... you just got to keep at it, stay focused and if you have a bad day don't beat yourself over it too much, just learn from it and start over the next day.

Cogratulations! I went in and had a fill last Thursday and I am 6 lbs from ONE-derland myself! I've lost a total of 26 lbs since my lap band surgery on Dec 13. I don't know if that is average or not...I just know that if I had lost this weight on any of my other "diets" I would be starving right now and would be eating everything in sight. It is so great to know that I have a tool that is helping me manage the hunger. What a great decision I made when I decided to have surgery. Wish I had done it years ago! Robin, you keep up the good work. I'll be pulling for you!!!
