I know, I know, but just consider it justice since it took so long for me to get some!! LOL!! I like all the flavors...Vanilla Nut is my least favorite simply because it's flavor is not as intense but if you add some DaVinci to it....YUMM...They're all good! If you are jonesin' for AO...take a chance on the Hazelnut Creme...I think you'd like it and if you don't, think about how easy it would be to sell or donate to someone else!
yeah, I finally decided to heck with it and ordered a case of hazelnut. I also ordered a case of those Banana Cream protein drinks Susan Maria raves about. If I don't like them I am sure I can sell them LOL I've done a lot of selling of clothes that i've shrunk out of on ebay. I just made $270 with this last bunch.
I didn't think about the Davinci syrups though! Good thinking Kym. Though, I only use protein drinks for my breakfast meal (which in that case, it is a grab and go type of situation, no time to doctor up my drinks) and sometimes in the evenings after working out... depending on how light headed and dizzy I feel. I've been doing that a lot lately. Something to talk about with the nutritionist.... which I haven't seen since my first post-op appoinment. I saw your post about the net carb/total carb question on the yahoo group and Pam's reply to it.... jesh they're such nazis!! LOL I've been counting net carbs this entire time. Anyways, enjoy your AO. I wish they would keep more in stock!
Well, you have to let me know how the banana things are...banana is my favorite flavor in the world but I am so picky about protein. Susan love the pro. delite and I can't hack it...so be sure to let me know!
Clothes....whew...tell me about it. I didn't think I was in a smaller size until tonight. My sis in law brought me some 22's in a skirt and some denim shorts. I have been in 28's for so long I didn't think I was budging. She kept on and on until I tried them on and the denim fit...I said, Oh, it's cause they stretch,...so she makes me try the skirt which was not stretchy and it fit!!!! Susan and Paula had given me gobs of clothes right before surgery and a lot of them were too small so I went and dragged them out tonight and lo and behold...they all fit!!!! A couple of jeans are still snug but they are 22's!!! I'm so happy! I am keeping the clothes anyone gave me to pass on to someone someday to help them out but my own clothes are definitely going up for sale. Have to to afford to buy new ones after I shrink out of these. It's exciting, especially since the scale hasn't budged in nearly three weeks.
Carbs are giving me fits. I am so sensitive to them that if I eat any carbs, even just in some veggies, my blood sugar goes up dramatically. My PCP told me I'm not diabetic anymore since my sugar stays at 91 now, but if I eat any carbs it jumps to 176 or so. But my gosh, sometimes you feel like your going to go nuts if you can't have some carbs...therefore my question. I am just going to stick to no carbs until I see my nut. on next Thursday. I really hope she says net to count but I will do whatever I have to in order to keep my sugar down. Like Paula tells me, I'll just have to "deal with it!"
Mocha Java is the most popular flavor. It sold out within an hour of the order page opening! I think you would like the Cappucino as well but I have heard that it is sold out for now as well...but...word is that another shipment is not far behind, maybe in the next month or so, so keep an eye out on it. Are you coming to the lunch tomorrow?
Oh, Honey!!! Let me just tell you...IMHO it's the best protein in the world. I am very picky...I can't handle a lot of protein and try as I might, much of it just gags me. I had been just dealing with it, forcing it down, until Paula Duncan introduced me to the wondrous world of AcheivOne. Have you ever had one of those bottled Starbucks Frappacinos? They are soooooo good...but full of sugar and fat. Well, AO is like those but even better to me since the coffee flavor is more subtle. They come in four flavors, Vanilla Nut, Hazelnut Creme, Mocha Java, and Cappucino. They all have just 4-5 carbs and a full 20 grams of protein and only 120 calories! Oh, and if you are having a hard time getting a lot of fluid in at once, another great thing is that they are only 9.5 ounces so it's pretty easy to get them in before they lose their chill.
You can order then on bariatriceating.com when they are available but be forewarned, they go out of stock super fast. They are not cheap, about two bucks or so apiece, but they are worth every penny!
Clothes... mercy Lord. I have given away so many clothes! I was catching sales. Then I got addicted to Goodwill. Just as I get my wardrobe done, and get around to wearing everything once, and go to start over, they are all too big. That's a great problem... it just gets expensive on the clothes budget. I am scaling the Goodwill now for sizes 12... but before long it will be 10s, 8s, Lord one day it will be a 6 or 4. I never thought I would see that day again.
I think I was born a size 14. Now I have finally come full circle and am in 14 again! Haha
