Did anyone at the Staple Club get the scallop recipie last night? I must have dropped it or misplaced it. I meant to get it, I'm not sure where it is. Thanks! -Alyssa

The staple club is the name of our RNY/DS support group at Baptist.

Anyone can come though, right Susan? Not just Baptist patients.

Oh yes! It isn't restricted to Baptist patients and it isn't restricted to just bypass patients either. They do have a separate support group for lap-banders because their post-op issues are so very different from ours.

ahh okay... I'm assuming it is a recipe exchange meeting of sorts??

No, it's a support group. This month we just had general discussion and a recipe exchange. Each month is a different topic. We have had trainers from the fitness center, a plastic surgeon, a phsychologist and nutritionist as some of the past speakers. We have even had the surgeons sit in occasionally so we can pick their brains. Since the group is open to pre-ops as well as post-ops, we have some great discussions.

Carefully turn each scallop and cook 4 to 5 minutes longer or until just cooked through. Remove to serving plates, placing scallops in a small pool of bottled sesame dressing.

Hi Everyone, I am really new to this, for those that were at the Staple Club Meeting, I am the one that had sugery on January 29th, 2007. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the meeting a lot and plan on being there each month. (I also believe that it helped my husband too). Yesterday, was a really rough day, probably my worse with the nausea, but I got throught it and today was a much better day. I am new to this site and if anyone can help me step by step set up my picture I would appreciate it. Thanks again for all the support Tuesday night and for all that I am sure that will come!! :-) Shelia
