Lexapro

I had to switch from my Effexor to a new anti depressant. My shrink perscribed me Lexapro solution. I've been on it for a couple of days and it's mixed with a cherry flavoring which is so much more palatable and it doesn't make me sick! But I was wondering if anyone takes this and how they are doing with it. Is there any side effects? Thanks! -Alyssa

are you getting lexapro in liquid? I took lexapro 10 mg tablets. They did good. Tasted awful though! Had to crush them up. My goal for myself was to get off all medications so the PCP was helping me wean off lexapro which was the only one left. I have been moody lately so dont think I have been 100% successful at weaning off without symptoms but I am not taking it presently. No dizzy spells though thank goodness. It did help me. I took Lexapro for 2 yrs. Let me know how it goes. Are you going to the outing on Saturday? I have a top for you and if you're coming, I will just bring it on with me. Hope to see you there.

Hi Melinda! I'm on the Lexapro liquid. So far it seems to be doing well and taking the edge off my depression in light of some major job changes this week (I quit my job). Walgreens flavored it for me in a cherry flavor and it goes down so much better than the compounded Effexor that I was taking. My psychiatrist wants me to come back next week to see how I'm doing. The only dizzy spells I've had was when I know I needed to eat something. Yesterday I got a little light headed so I tried the Wendy's chilli and felt better. That was the first time to eat anything out. Yes I'm going on Saturday! I'm looking forward to seeing you, as well as everyone else there. -Alyssa

I have been on Lexapro for 2 years now having my surgey on Thrusday it's great to know that it comes in liquid form I will be calling tomorrow for that script. The only problems I have is when I first started and if I miss a day or two then I will get a headache when I start taking it again. But I would rather deal with a headache than the ick of depression. Angela
