great news!

Its been a long year since i've been here and i'm soooo happy to say i finaly got the e-mail today that my g-b-p has been approved and all i need now is the letter in hand to get my surgery date its been a loong year waiting and now its paid off (that is is everything goes well) so i just wanted to share the news as i can almost sceam!!! i hope this is a great year for all of us needing and wanting this ----rock on

That's wonderful news Salena! I noticed on your profile that you are in Nashville. Where are you going to get it and who is your surgeon? I just had mine on January 5, and I'm s glad that I had made the decision to do this. This is truly a positive, life changing decision. wow hope we an be buddys .I'm haveing it done @vanderbilt by Dr. Willie Melvin. I hope all goes well i'm single with 2 children actually quit smoking and hopeing for the best . Are you back to work and how bad is/was the pain ? As you can see im not a big fan of pain hahaha ( i'm a big baby). How long were you in the hospital and where did you have yours done?And the big question How much have you lost ???

Hey Selena, I did go back to work after 2 weeks. But there's been some job issues, so I'm not at that job anymore...lol! The pain wasn't that bad, for me it was the bloating. I was SOOOOOOO BLOATED! Worse than the blowfish in Finding Nemo! I actually stopped using the pain pills two days after I came home and I would only take a half of one at night when I did take it. I went into the hospital on a Friday and left the following Monday. I've lost 42.5 as of today! I've been keeping a blog of my recovery. So feel free to read it. I wanted to make sure I record my progress if anyone had the same questions I did before surgery. I hope it helps. Let us know when your surgery is! -Alyssa
