Hello!! It's me. Melinda
Well I was let out of the hospital yesterday around 12 noon. I loved the nurses. They were awesome! Dr. Houston did a good job, and every time he came in to see me, he was really encouraging.
Thanks Susan for coming to see me. I was so out of it due to the pain meds... I couldn't remember anybody's names. Also the pain medicine kept making me have hallucinations. I thought people were talking to me and my mom asked who I was talking to... but there was no one there. One time I said something about at least we have 3 left. She asked, 3 of what? I said, 3 swizzle sticks. 3 CHOCOLATE swizzle sticks!? Anyway, I was having conversations with people and kept nodding my head yes when no one was there!!
Thank you all for praying for me. I wasn't really nervous that morning of surgery but a few times I did have a few episodes of butterflies in my stomach.
I don't have my laptop with me. Mike has his at home, so when I come home from mom's I will be checking my email. My mother is taking wonderful care of me. The nurses said I am a very spoiled child! One nurse even wanted to borrow my mother cause she was so sweet.
Til later. Love you all
Melinda So glad you are doing well . I found the nausia patch they had me put on made me really loopy . It tool a few days even after I removed it to see right again LOL I barely remember the first day post op LOL I hope you continue to do well you ,mike and I will have to get togather and see about going to support meetings and the Frye sessions togather . since we all live so close .
Laura
I'm glad to see you're up and awake.
You were pretty loopy when I was there but you were just so darn cute! Your mom is a real sweetheart too. (ask her what you did with your arm
)
When you feel up to it, all of us on the north side of Nashville need to get together for a good bowl of soup somewhere.
Susan

Hi Melinda, don't forget me on this luncheon. I am hoping to be over that way around the 27th. My daughte-in-love is throwing my sons and grandson a surprise birthday party on the 28th. So we can still get together before Ihead home to pack for Costa Rica. Just name the day and time, I'll be there. By the way, their potato soup at Logans is really great so is their ministrony soup is good too. Of course we will need to make sure Susan and Toni are abailable, Mike, and Laura too.
I'm glad you are home, and doing so well. Three of us from Logans are excited for you. Just don't lose the dimples in the checks, they are beautiful when you smile.
Love ya, get well, Kathy
