Anyone Self Pay? Cost

No insurance coverage. Does anyone do discounted for private pay patients. I just don't want a discounted surgeon.

call and ask how much for RNYs and how much for lap bands if you really want to know ...call the surgeons offices and check around wrtie it all down and compare... ask lots of questions ! good luck... there is baptist hospital and vanderbilt hospital and centennial in Nashville they all do weight loss procedures

Hi, I used Parkridge East in Chattanooga with Dr. Rutledge. I paid $25000.00 for lap RNY for his fee's, and the hospital fee's. Dr. Rutledge is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend him. If you would like his phone #, just let me know. Take care Chris

I too an looking at self-pay. I went to a seminar at Centennial Medical Center. It was very good and I hightly recommend it. They offer in twice a month (check their website to be sure). They are a Center of Excellence and I know several folks that have used their surgeons. Their cost for bypass is $24,000 and lapband is $14,000. Don't forget IRS also gives a 100% deduction on WLS.
