East Tennessee Suggestions?
Hi All,
I haven't posted here in awhile and I thought I would. I am currently Post-Op and I'm down 115lbs. I am having trouble getting in all the protein daily but thats about the only things going on with that.
But now to the reason I have posted. I have met someone who lives in East Tennessee well the Greeneville area to be exact. And I have fallen in love with not only the girl but the area. I am planning on moving out there by Christmas this year. And I was wondering if anyone here could tell me of a nice city to live that isn't a city but isn't quite the middle of nowhere. I am currently employed as a Center Manager for a Cash Advance company and was wondering if there are plenty of non-industrial jobs available in this area? Well thanks for any responses.
Justin,
I live in Jonesborough, the town adjacent to Greeneville. I don't know much about west of Greeneville, but I know the areas east pretty well. For the most part, the 'cities' are small cities. They are not like Nashville where it is a large intense city in the center, then 'suburbs' surrounding. Most of the 'cities' here are like the communities around Nashville. It only really gets congested if you get close to Knoxville. Knoxville's traffic is at all times, like the rush hour traffic of Nashville, especially west Knoxville.
Most of our areas that are not directly in the city, is pretty rural. I highly recommend a trip here and you'll see what I mean. If you like the suburbs of Nashville, then living directly in Greeneville or Johnson City would be similar. If you want something a bit more 'away' but not too far away, then I'd recommend Jonesborough, Gray, or Bulls Gap. If you want to get away from it, but still not too far, then the 'communities' around those cities would be ok. You can usually get to where you want, with little traffic congestion within 10-15 mins. We don't have the type of traffic that Nashville does.
Feel free to email me privatly and we can chat by phone. I'd love to give you a virtual tour an answer any questions. I've lived here all my life, and my husband drives a school bus so we know the area pretty well.

Justin,
I live in Newport, TN and we are a small town but growing every day. I have lived here all my life and love it. We are really close to the Great Smoky Mountains. There are new companies coming to town daily. My best friend works for a cash advance company and they are looking for someone. It is through rent a center. Just go to rent a center.com and apply! I think you would love it here.

Thank You, Sherri and Teresa,
My girlfriend and I are planning on moving in together soon. She lives in Rogersville and we are going to be looking for places in the Bulls Gap and Rogersville area. Hopefully a house. I have been there many times and I have fallen in love with the views and nice down home community feel. I hope that after a few years it doesn't all of a sudden have a huge population growth because it would be a shame to lose that nice community feel. Well thank you again for all the suggestions and info.
Justin,
