Nashville Walk From Obesity

Are you planning to attend? Have you registered? Go to www.walkfromobesity.com/nashville for more information. The walk is scheduled for October 7th starting at the Country Music Hall of Fame Park. Registration/sign in starts at 8:30 and the walk begins at 9:00 a.m. - rain or shine. Free parking will be provided for everyone attending the walk. (Parking is in the lot behind the GEC - Gaylord Entertainment Center) The course has been mapped out to include 1 and 2 mile options and the course is stroller friendly. The course will take you by the beautiful new Schermerhorn Symphony Hall so you'll be able to check that out too. Everyone *****gisters (and pays the $25 registration fee) gets a free t-shirt, a 6 month membership to Obesity Action Coalition, and a 3 month membership to the Baptist Wellness Center. There will also be additional freebies the day of the walk. - I can't give away all of the surprises! There will be celebrity emcees, entertainment and music. And, there just might be a "surprise" guest or two. This is a great opportunity to meet some of the people you chat with on this website as well as make new friends. The doctors and staff from Baptist and Centennial are planning to be there (I don't know if the folks from Vandy are planning to come). I'm excited! This will be my first time attending but I've heard from people in my support group(s) how much fun this event is. The money raised for the Nashville walk will be used in our community for education/awareness. Please come be a part!!!!!!! Susan

Hi Susan, I would love to go on one, but it will have to wait until next year. I fractured my tail bone on Thursday and it's hard enough to sit, stand, walk, or even lay down unless I'm on a pain pill. But I plan on joining for next year. I just checked my BMI and it's now 28.2. I'm in the normal range. Yepee. Sorry can't join you this time, would love to see you and Toni again. Have you heard from Melinda? Hi Susan, I'm planning on attending. Last year was the first time I attended, and loved it. I'm part of the Vandy group.
